Rainbow Day Nursery - Inspiring Daycare for Enquiring Minds

Rainbow Day Nursery is open from 8am - 6pm and our day is split into the following sessions:

• Full day 8am - 6pm

• Morning 9am - 1pm

• Afternoon 1pm - 5pm

Breakfast, for full day children, is served between 8am and 8.30am, lunch is provided at midday and tea at 4pm. Milk and healthy snacks are served mid-morning and mid-afternoon.

We offer a pick up service from all the local county nurseries within Alnwick town.

Fully qualified NNEB/NVQ3 nursery managers and nursery nurses with other experienced nursery assistants working towards a childcare qualification. All our staff hold a current first aid certificate and have child protection training. We run a programme of regular staff training to update their skills and knowledge.

We are registered for 60 children, 40 of those can be aged 0-3 yrs.

We operate the Castle Club in different premises as an out of school/holiday club for children aged 3-11 years and is open 3-6pm termtime and 8-6pm during school holidays. For details contact 07968793578..

Our aims and objectives are:-

To work closely with colleagues and parents in order to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment. To plan and carry out a varied program of activities, ensuring the well-being and safety of the child at all times so that he/she may progress in all areas of development.

Babies and young children must bring bottles/baby food in with them until they can eat a liquidised version of the meal provided.
If your child/baby is using nappies and wipes, please provide the appropriate size/type.
Staff must be informed if someone else is to collect the child other than the parent/guardian.
We discourage the bringing of sweets of toys into the nursery, although we do understand that a comfort toy is often required during settling in.
You are welcome anytime to spend time at the nursery to settle your child, if necessary.
Any special medical requirements/information must be made known to us.
